  7. SEPASAL (the Survey of Economic Plants for Arid and Semi-Arid 
  8. Lands) is a database developed and maintained at the Royal 
  9. Botanic Gardens, Kew, which is used to provide development 
  10. organisations and individual research workers with information on 
  11. useful plants and to target species for germplasm collection and 
  12. storage. At Present, the database contains information on approximately 
  13. 6000 useful dryland species, excluding major crop species. Alongside 
  14. the SEPASAL database, Kew maintains an Economic Botany Bibliographic 
  15. Database which currently contains citations to more than 150.000 
  16. references dealing with plants of economic value 
  17. (including those of arid and semi-arid lands).
