Name: SEPASAL - Nutzpflanzen fuer Trockengebiete
Aufgaben:
SEPASAL (the Survey of Economic Plants for Arid and Semi-Arid
Lands) is a database developed and maintained at the Royal
Botanic Gardens, Kew, which is used to provide development
organisations and individual research workers with information on
useful plants and to target species for germplasm collection and
storage. At Present, the database contains information on approximately
6000 useful dryland species, excluding major crop species. Alongside
the SEPASAL database, Kew maintains an Economic Botany Bibliographic
Database which currently contains citations to more than 150.000
references dealing with plants of economic value
(including those of arid and semi-arid lands).
